Follow us here and receive Daily updates of our “Flavors Of The Day”, Specials and Upcoming Events!  We take pride in our community involvement  and always look forward to seeing you around town.  Jack and Carol are very active with the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor and Jack also is a very active Volunteer with the Livingston County Red Cross Disaster Team.  Jack and His brother Bob have been on a number of Disaster Relief efforts (Hurricane Katrine, Iowa Floods, Tennessee Floods, and numerous local Fire Department Support and Quick Relief missions.

Today’s flavors are Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Fresh Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla

We  are now scheduling tours and field trips.  Also, catering custard to parties, classrooms, etc.

Thanks to all who have visited. Those who have visited know that just after you enter our store and get that first breath of Fresh Frozen Custard Air the next thing you have to do is look at our “Flavor of The Day” board over to the right.  For it is there where you may “Get Lucky” with our “Thin Mint” Chocolate Chip or “Get Baking” with one of our “Cookie Dough’s”.  In any case, you can always look straight up at the Big Board and order any of our Avalanche’s, Shakes or Sundaes.

Have a Flavor You’d Like Us To Try????  Just write it down on our Flavor Request Sheet and if it passes our “Navy” Standards then  we’ll decide whether to “Throw It Over Board” or “Put It On The Flavor Board”.

We always have freshly made chocolate and vanilla plus a Flavor of the Week and a Flavor of the Day. Our most popular flavors are…

• Michigan Madness… Peanut butter custard with peanut butter swirls and Reese’s Cups
• Brighton Bulldog…Vanilla custard with fudge and brownies
• Espresso Chip…Espresso custard with chocolate chunks

• Almond Joy….Toasted coconut custard with coconut, chocolate chunks and toasted almonds
• Cake Batter and Brownie Batter…Just like licking the bowl at home!
• Chocolate Covered Strawberry …Fresh strawberry custard with Chunks of melt in your mouth chocolate
• Pumpkin and Carmel Apple are great Fall flavors, too!

Our History!

Hi everybody and thanks for visiting Jack’s Custard Company, where I’d like to think we make the best custard in Michigan – if not in the whole world!!!

That’s me in the picture on the right with my family (I’m the little guy in the suspenders).  My brothers, wife and kids and numerous grandchildren have hundreds of years of combined experience eating ice cream. And we all agree Jack’s Custard is the best we’ve ever had.

It was in 2005 that my wife, Carol, and I enjoyed the very best frozen custard we had ever tasted in all of our lives. The flavor that brought about the opening of JACK’S was Espresso Chip. (We still love this flavor!) I later learned that this custard was served at the White House, not at all to our surprise! Always being great lovers of fine ice cream, we just felt that others should be able to enjoy this fine product, too. Thus, Jack’s Custard Company was formed in Brighton and our shoppe opened in May 2006.

With almost 6 years under our belt, you might say we are still rookies, but we have years of experience tasting and being finicky customers. We now feel like veteran creamery workers as we make custard for you fresh every single day. We make it for ourselves and our family too!

You won’t see us dance on the tables or try in vain to entertain you. We and our friendly staff will just welcome you, treat you well, provide you with excellent products at fair reasonable prices, and impeccable service. Why? Because we just love to see you lick your lips and smile!
